Gopalakrishnan and Associates which was initially established in the year 1981, was later incorporated in the year 2005, and further reinstated and branded as an Architectural consultancy practice from July 2019 in Coimbatore,
Tamil Nadu.
After the Chief Architect's return from abroad, the firm's forte is in providing top class quality design solutions of international caliber in the realms of Architectural Design, Urban/Master Planning and Interior Design curated to various building typologies.

​Ar. Ashok Gopalakrishnan, with nearly three decades of experience in architectural design.

International Expertise: The past 12 years have been focused on large-scale projects across the UAE, Vietnam, and Qatar, covering multiple sectors including Residential, Commercial, Retail, Mixed-use, Industrial, Hospitality, and Healthcare.

Previous Experience: Prior to reinstating Gopalakrishnan and Associates, Ar. Ashok worked for 8 years with ETA Star Property Developers LLC in Dubai, UAE, and 4 years with Shapoorji Pallonji Qatar WLL in Doha, Qatar.

Prof.R.J.Gopalakrishnan (Former Professor and HOD of The Civil Department of C.I.T,Coimbatore).

Prof.R.J.G as he fondly called started the GOPALAKRISHNAN AND ASSOCIATES in 1990,as consulting practice at Coimbatore.​

Prof.R.J.G has eventually worked and designed in buildings of various typologies in U.S.S.R,Malaysia,Kuala Lumpur and India.​

His notable projects include Prefabricated factories in the U.S.S.R and many highrise structures in Malaysia,including the KL International airport,"The Great Hall of Mara"(university of Malaysia).​

His other notable projects as a consultant was The coimbatore stadium,Lakshmi complex,Annapoorna -R.S.Puram and central kitchen in coimbatore.​

Other prestigious projects include many buildings in the C.I.T campus which includes S.I.V,Malco,Kamala sugars etc.​

His other projects with his son Ar.Ashok (The principal architect) includes the prestigious IMA audiorium at coimbatore,apartments and K.G hospitals and various other projects.
